Our Staff
Rector: The Rev. Barbara Thrall
Rev. Barbara was ordained in 1986 in the Diocese of NY, after attending The General Theological Seminary in NY City. She served as an assistant in a congregation there from 1986 until 1990, when she moved with her family to northern New Hampshire to pastor a church there. She and her husband, Ed, moved to Holyoke so that she could become rector of St. Paul’s in May of 2007.
Organist/Choir Director: Monica Czausz
Monica began her time with us on June 27, 2010. She is a senior at Chicopee High School and has experience as a substitute organist throughout the churches of the Springfield area. A member of the Catholic Church, she is familiar with our liturgy and appreciates good choral music. She studies with Peter Beardsley, the organist/choir master at the Cathedral in Springfield, and recently attended a choir directing conference at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
Sexton: Mr. Carlos Rivera
Carlos has been with St. Paul’s for the last eleven years and is in charge of maintaining the buildings and grounds. He sees to St. Paul’s upkeep, both inside and outside, and assists the staff in preparing our spaces for programs and meetings.
Secretary: Debra Plath
Ms. Plath joined St. Paul’s staff in June 2009 as parish secretary. A few of the long list of tasks she performs is facilitating our auditorium rentals, greets visitors, handles requests by parishioners, maintains and distributes various schedules and reports, composes and edits the Sunday bulletins and our monthly newsletter, maintains our master calendar as well as the parish records and register, arranges and updates our website along with other office administrative and managerial duties.
Bookkeeper: Mr. Steve Hasbrouck
Steve is a freelance bookkeeper who is with St. Paul’s one day a week as financial record-keeper and bill-payer. He assists the treasurer with our accounts and is in charge of pledge records.
St. Paul’s Nursery School Director: Katherine Eggleston
