Music Ministries

Organist/Choir Director:  Monica Czausz

Monica began her time with us on June 27, 2010.  She will be a senior at Chicopee High School this fall, and has experience as a substitute organist throughout the churches of the Springfield area.  A member of the Catholic Church, she is familiar with our liturgy and appreciates good choral music and also sings with the Springfield Symphony Chorus.  She studies with Peter Beardsley, the organist/choir master at the Cathedral in Springfield, and recently attended a choir directing conference at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.

St. Paul’s Choir

The St. Paul’s Choir sings each Sunday at the 10:00a.m. service. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:15 - 8:45 p.m., and Sundays at 9 a.m.  Under the direction of organist and choir director, Monica Czausz, the choir sings a wide repertoire of sacred music. St. Paul’s has always stressed diversity and its music is no exception, including music from Renaissance polyphony to recent offerings from the 20th and 21st Century. While traditional “Anglican” church music is a staple, spirituals, American folk-tunes, and even a touch of gospel style occasionally can be heard.

The choir is anxious to include new members who wish to offer their talent to worship through music. There is no audition, nor any requirement to read music, and we welcome all volunteers. Please call the church office at (413) 532-5060 or talk with Monica Czausz for more information.
